Chihuahua police find six bullet-riddled bodies on side of the highway

CIUDAD JUÁREZ, CHIHUAHUA, 25OCTUBRE2019.- Sujetos armados atacaron esta tarde a un hombre en un taller ubicado en la avenida Insurgentes. Los hechos ocurrieron a la altura de la calle Colombia y Insurgentes, en la colonia El Barreal, a un costado de una tienda de conveniencia. Versiones extraoficiales señalan que la víctima era cliente del lugar y conocido de uno de los empleados. Elementos de la Fiscalía General del Estado acudieron al sitio a fin de realizar las primeras investigaciones. En la escena del crimen fueron localizados por lo menos diez casquillos percutidos. Police in Mexico has recovered six bodies under a tarp on the side of a highway near the Chihuahua-Durango border, Mexican media report.

The bodies were riddled with bullets and showed signs of violence, El Diario reported. They were located near a roadside memorial near San Jose de Los Baylon, a town along Mexican Highway 24.

The newspaper reported that relatives of the victims told authorities they received an anonymous call the previous day saying their kin had been killed in Guanacevi, Durango and that their bodies would be found in Chihuahua.

The case remains under investigation.

So far, no arrest have been made in relation to these crimes.
