The patient attacked the doctor treating her with a knife and now faces pretrial detention for attempted murder.
A violent incident erupted in Chihuahua after a woman attempted to stab her doctor at the Mexican Social Security Institute’s Clinic 04, after becoming upset over his recommendation to lose weight. The patient was arrested weeks later and remains in pretrial detention.
The incident occurred on July 28th at around 9:00 a.m. at Clinic 04 of the Mexican Social Security Institute, located in the Ávalos neighborhood of Chihuahua City.
According to the investigation, the woman, identified as Claudia T. G., was undergoing a medical consultation when she suddenly attempted to attack the doctor with a knife.
The doctor managed to protect himself with a chair, while medical unit personnel quickly intervened to assist him and request assistance from the authorities.
Following the corresponding complaint, the Central District Attorney’s Office opened an investigation through the Crimes Against Life Unit.
