During the Mexico 2025 Aerospace Fair (Famex), the Secretariat of Innovation and Economic Development (SIDE) presented the strengths that position the state as a national leader in the industry, aiming to attract new investment and consolidate Chihuahua as a strategic destination for this key sector.

Ulises Fernández Gamboa, head of SIDE, highlighted the work of the State Government in developing specialized talent, promoted by the Institute for Supporting Technological Development (INADET).

The official noted that, through Cenaltec schools, more than 27,000 students and professionals in areas related to the industry access top-level certifications, preparing them to compete in advanced technological processes in engineering and design.

In addition, SIDE reported that, thanks to the State Economic Development Promotion Agency (PRODECH), there are fiscal and non-fiscal incentives that facilitate the establishment and expansion of projects. There is also the General Directorate of Industry, which strengthens local supply with training programs, networking, and business roundtables.

This is the state administration’s collaborative model, which by the end of 2024 generated more than $130 million in foreign direct investment, the result of working with partners such as Index Chihuahua, the Chihuahua Aerospace Cluster, Chihuahua Global, CIMAV, business organizations, and leading companies committed to regional development.

Famex 2025, considered the largest aerospace trade fair in Latin America, will bring together more than 700 leading companies in the sector and over 100,000 attendees.

This platform strengthens technological and commercial exchange, promotes strategic alliances between governments, companies, and academic institutions, placing Chihuahua on the global map of advanced manufacturing, innovation, and foreign investment.
