In Assembly, the Association of Real Estate Tourism Developers and Promoters of Los Cabos, appointed Alberto Villada Camerino as its new president for the period 2020-2022, this being the fourth time that he has presided over said association.
In an interview, Alberto Villada indicated that it is a very important organization in Los Cabos because of what it represents, for the developers, the projects, the generation of employment and the generation of income to the municipality of Los Cabos via property, via a tax on acquisitions of real estate ( isabi ) and via building licenses.
He mentioned that among his main objectives in this period will be for the Association to achieve recognition of the importance it has in the local community.
He specified that it is very important in many ways, it is one of the activities that may not be very noticeable but it is everywhere, there are 20 very important projects that if the average is taken in terms of size are projects from 300 to 350 hectares each of them, all the developments have different concepts, real estate products, lots, houses, condominiums, villas, hotels, golf courses, beach club, all a great variety that make this the real estate tourism product.
Emphasizing the importance of the association and that it continues to participate in a vigorous way in the development of Los Cabos, will be its main priorities, he said.
On the other hand, he commented that Los Cabos has been distinguished by its integral tourism projects, which has allowed it to have a controlled, organized, planned development that is sequential and with a certain rhythm and that it is always in constant activity generating investment, that has allowed keep going despite the covid-19 pandemic.
He cited that Los Cabos, after opening the first 9-hole Fonatur golf course, continued investments, promoters, and developers, which led the destination to position itself as a reference point in relation to golf in Mexico in a section of 30 kilometers of tourist corridor it has 16 golf courses, except for the one located in La Ribera, a little further away.
“If you take into account the golf courses in Mexico City, they are not as many as those in Los Cabos, they would have to join the CDMX, Morelos and Edomex courses to reach the number of Los Cabos courses. and that is part of the assets of the developments that make up the Association ”, he concluded.
