The Chihuahua International Adventure Tourism Festival (FITA) 2026 invites the public to participate in the 31st Villista Cavalcade, one of the state’s most emblematic cultural events, recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Chihuahua.

The event was presented by the Secretary of Tourism, Edibray Gómez Gallegos; the Director of Tourism Management, Alejandra Villalobos Palacio; and the General Coordinator of the Villista Cavalcade, José Miguel Salcido Romero.

From July 4 to 18, thousands of riders will travel through various municipalities and communities of the state, along a route that begins in Ciudad Juárez and ends in Hidalgo del Parral, a Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town) that receives thousands of visitors each year to commemorate the historical legacy of the Mexican Revolution.

With 31 editions celebrated, the Villista Cavalcade has become one of Chihuahua’s most important equestrian traditions.

In its previous edition, the event saw the participation of more than 9,300 riders and around 20,000 spectators, generating an estimated economic impact of 23.2 million pesos (MXN).

This year, the participation of 11,000 riders is expected, coming from various municipalities in Chihuahua, as well as from states such as Jalisco, Zacatecas, and Durango, and from the southern United States, particularly Texas and New Mexico.

This year, the Gran Cabalgata Villista will add approximately 300 kilometers to its route, as a contingent of riders from Durango will travel to join the closing parade in Hidalgo del Parral.

The 31st Cabalgata Villista is part of the official calendar of the Chihuahua 2026 International Adventure Tourism Festival (FITA), which this year celebrates its 30th anniversary by promoting events that strengthen tourism and contribute to the economic development of the participating regions.
