At a national level, the state of Chihuahua is surprising many people for having developed a strong wine industry in a relatively short time.
In 2025, the city of Chihuahua hosted for the second time the México Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, one of the most prestigious wine, spirits, and craft beer competitions in the world.
This event allows wine producers to position their labels internationally while helping the state consolidate itself as a promising destination on the global wine map. Chihuahua currently has 60 vineyards and more than 200 wine labels produced across over 420 hectares of cultivated land.
For 2026, the calendar of events has expanded throughout Chihuahua City, Ciudad Juárez, and vineyards located across desert and valley regions such as Aldama, Namiquipa, Samalayuca, Delicias, Bachíniva, Santa Isabel, Casas Grandes, Sacramento, and Valle de Encinillas.
