Senator Enrique Inzunza of Sinaloa rejected the “false accusations” against him, linking them to his recent denunciation of the alleged CIA operation in Chihuahua.
Senator Enrique Inzunza categorically rejected the recent accusations against him, calling them “slander and defamation” stemming from a campaign of “false and malicious accusations.”
The legislator attributes these attacks to direct retaliation for his recent appearance before the Senate.
In a statement released on his social media, Inzunza defended his integrity by appealing to his professional career. He noted that he has dedicated his life to the application of the law, supported by a career of more than 25 years within the Sinaloa State Judiciary, where he served as Chief Justice for almost eleven years.
The senator from Sinaloa directly linked the attacks to his political stance. He pointed out that these accusations arose “coincidentally one day after” he appeared before the Senate, representing the Morena parliamentary group, to defend the principle of Mexican sovereignty against what he described as an unconstitutional action by agents of the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) on national soil, allegedly with the complicity of the governor of Chihuahua.
Faced with this situation, Inzunza warned that he would refute absolutely all the falsehoods, exercising his legislative duties responsibly. He also expressed his full willingness to cooperate with the justice system, assuring that he would promptly attend any summons or call issued by the competent authorities of the country, always within the framework of his constitutional powers.
To conclude his statement, the senator reiterated his political alignment with the Federal Executive Branch. Inzunza expressed his agreement and unreserved support for the statements of President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, joining the president’s call to guarantee “truth, justice and defense of national sovereignty” in the face of foreign pressures or interference.
