The State Health Department reported that, during the period from January 1 to December 15, 2025, a total of 72 confirmed cases of COVID-19 were registered in the state.
This report is part of the ongoing epidemiological monitoring conducted to track the evolution of the virus, prevent outbreaks, and ensure timely medical care for the population.
The distribution by municipality is as follows: Chihuahua City 34 cases, Delicias 11, Ciudad Juárez 9, Meoqui 4, Nuevo Casas Grandes 2, and Aldama, Jiménez, Cuauhtémoc, Guerrero, Madera, Saucillo, Uruachi, Ojinaga, Namiquipa, López, Matamoros, and Valle de Zaragoza with one case each.
This distribution pattern shows that cities with higher population density register more cases, while in smaller municipalities the cases are isolated, indicating a low risk of widespread community transmission as of the cutoff date.
As of December 15, 2025, the State Health Department reports that no deaths related to COVID-19 have been recorded in the state. This represents a positive indicator regarding the capacity of the healthcare system, vaccination coverage, and the preventive measures implemented.
Given the continued presence of the virus, the Health Department urges the public to maintain preventive measures, which are essential to protect individual and community health:
Go to health centers to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, as well as the annual flu vaccine and vaccines for other respiratory illnesses. This is especially important for priority groups: older adults, people with chronic illnesses, pregnant women, children under 5 years of age, and healthcare workers.
Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use 70% alcohol-based hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available; avoid touching your face, nose, mouth, and eyes with unwashed hands.
Maintain physical distance in crowded and enclosed spaces and wear a face mask on public transportation, in hospitals, and in other areas with high concentrations of people. See a doctor if you experience respiratory symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, or loss of smell and taste.
The State Health Department reaffirms its commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the population through the promotion of vaccination, health education, and the implementation of epidemiological monitoring strategies that allow for the timely identification and control of any outbreaks.
