The National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) presented the results of the Quarterly Indicator of State Economic Activity (ITAEE), which for the state of Chihuahua resulted in a quarterly decline of 0.9% and an annual decline of 1.3%.
On an annual basis, Chihuahua is the state with the fourth largest decline in the indicator, surpassed only by Campeche (-16.8%), Tabasco (-12.3%), and Quintana Roo (-9.2%).
After Chihuahua, Puebla (-0.7%), Veracruz (-0.4%), and Durango (-0.4%) also stood out with declines in activity.

On the other hand, Guerrero (8.0%) was the state with the greatest growth, followed by Oaxaca (5.7%), Nayarit (4.7%), Baja California Sur (3.9%), and Zacatecas (3.6%).

The state’s primary activities (agriculture and livestock) experienced a significant decline last year, by 5.0%, with a negative share for the country of 0.14 points.
In secondary activities (industrial), the state of Chihuahua suffered a decline of 1.7%, impacting the nation by 0.09 points.
Finally, tertiary activities (trade and services) in Chihuahua did increase by 0.8%, below the Mexican average (1.3%), with a contribution of 0.02 points.
