Hidalgo registers an average of 13 new Covid cases per hour


In the Mexican state of Hidalgo, on average, 13 new cases of Covid-19 are registered per hour, for which a total of 318 illnesses were recorded in the recent day, as well as 72 deaths caused by that disease, according to the epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health federal (SSa).

The federal report revealed that since March, the date on which the health contingency began, 29,139 cases of Covid-19 have been reported, as well as 4,118 deaths caused by the new type of coronavirus.

According to health authorities, 20,511 people have tested negative for Covid-19, as well as 5,780 suspected cases, 18,397 people have recovered from the new viral strain and 1,442 cases are active. say, they are contagious.

Pachuca remains the most affected municipality in the state with 6,707 cases, followed by Mineral de la Reforma with 3,131 patients, Tizayuca with 2,156 infected, Tulancingo with 2,800 patients, Tula with 1,405 infected and Tepeapulco with 1,073 positives, which accounts for more than a third of the total ailments of the entity.

Likewise, 10 municipalities are free of active Covid-19 infections, as well as six municipalities in the orange color of the epidemiological traffic light, so the rest are at the highest level of infection risk in the state.

67 percent of the cases have required outpatient treatment and 33 percent have been hospitalized, while 53 percent of the cases correspond to men, while 47 percent have been women.

The main comorbidity factors are high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, and smoking, coupled with the fact that the most affected age group is between 40 and 49 years of age, while the least infected are those over 80 years and younger than 15 years old.

Hidalgo is in the red color of the epidemiological traffic light, so mobility and non-essential activities should be restricted until the number of daily infections decrease.
