In Cancun, an option was recently unveiled to provide Canadian tourists with a PCR test or nasal swab that allows them to return safely to their country.
In a statement, the Lomas Travel agency reported that, in collaboration with Laboratorios Laclicsa, it will be offering these tests.
“With this strategic alliance, we facilitate the return of tourists so that they can demonstrate with their medical certificate that they return to their homes healthy after enjoying a vacation in a safe destination with hotels that meet the highest standards of hygiene and safety,” said Dolores López Lira, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Grupo Lomas, in the official statement.
In the first five days of 2021, the government of Canada reported the landing in its territory of nine flights from Cancun with passengers infected with Covid19 . These arrived at the airports of Toronto, Calgary and Montreal in aircraft of three companies: Air Canada, Sunwing and WestJet.
Data that can be consulted on the official website of the Government of Canada, reveals the sites where travelers may have been exposed to Covid19. On that occasion, Cancun had reported seven flights with Covid19 cases.
“You may have been exposed to COVID-19 during recent travel, such as by plane, cruise ship, or train (any form of public transportation). Being aware of the risk can help you take the necessary measures to protect your health and the health of those around you ”, warn the authorities of that country.
Due to the fact that the number of flights with infected people does not stop, this nation activated new admission protocols in its territory on January 7.
